Our event review of the Ardentic is quite late. But certainly we’ve told you before to come to the exciting event ever in this city. Here’s our review after visiting on the first day of the Ardentic 2.0 which brings tagline “Shop. Eat. Enjoy”.
Founder of Ardentic 2.0 Carissa said, this event was the second time after last year she with her team managed to collect 65 brands in a similar event. This year, the number is much larger, perhaps seeing the previous event. “This time the number of participating brand more than the previous year, there are 80 brands that participate,” said Carissa.
Based on our view, brands that joined that event were culinary industry, fashion and art while culinary industry was the most participated in this event. “The majority still culinary,” she said.
Some of the brands that we remember were Kurnia, Amoz, Treehouse Studio, Lumut Communication, Thirtysix Coffee, St. Ali/Common Ground Coffee Jakarta, Bank Mega, and some stall culinary we do not remember one by one.
Ardentic 2.0 is four days event, started from 20 – 23 October 2016. The event used an empty area at the S Parman Street, near Cambridge Mall Medan. Originally, Ardentic is an idea of Carissa with her friends in a production house called Ardent. In our view, this event looks different from similar events ever in Medan.
According to Carissa, in addition to introducing local brands, this event as well as a venue for the creative industries in Medan. “So here, we are not just targeting a turnover, but also to the connection and sharing process,” said Carissa.
Another interesting thing was the layout of the venue, arranged so simple yet elegant with a lot of use of white and scratches sketch. This aesthetic sensation, in our perspective, made Ardentic seem different from the existing ones in the city.
“The concept is like summer festival,” said Carissa. Various interesting events help fuel the excitement of this event. Including the performance of music from local bands. Not only that, visitors also get a surprise after collecting tokens from every purchase they made.
Carissa hope that this event can continue in the next year despite the challenges are always there. “All must be had challenge. But, in the future we want to create better,” he closed the interview.
